Social Spaces

The social spaces edition is now available! The publication explores projects that artists have initiated in social contexts, such as in the public realm and within specific communities. It includes a specially commissioned essay by London-based artist and curator, Sophie Hope; a new artwork by Preston-based artist Martin Hamblen; and documentation of a project by Nelson-based artist Anita Burrows. Visit the contact us section of this site to find out how to get hold of your free copy.

Erratum: Unfortunately the footnotes have been accidently missed off the Pest text in this publication. Be assured that the person responsible has now been fired (although he didn't seem that bothered). The corresponding footnotes are as follows (if you haven't yet read the publication and have too much time on your hands, see if you can guess the text!)
  1) Suzanne Lacy, 1995
  2) Grant Kester, 2004
  3) Claire Bishop, 2006
  4) Celia Larner, 1994
  5) Nicholas Bourriaud, 1998
  6) Suzi Gablik, 1995
  7) This is a hypothetical question.  To the best of our knowledge there are not actually any wooden mushrooms in Barrow.
